Zuiderslag is coming!​
Following the success of the BUTR Cup, the Historisch Schermgilde Limburg and de Zwaardkring continue their collaboration within HEMA Onder De Rivieren (HODR) with a brand-new event: Zuiderslag.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Zuiderslag is a one-day HEMA tournament on a “bring your own steel” basis, featuring three divisions:​

Open Longsword Tier A (24 participants)

Open Longsword Tier B (36 participants)

Women+ Longsword (12 participants)

This makes for a total of 72 spots. Division placement will be determined according to HEMA Ratings.

When: Saturday, 29 November 2025
Where: Sporthal Egerbos, Drie Decembersingel 34, 5922 BD Venlo, The Netherlands
Discipline: Longsword (Open A, Open B, Women+)
Entry fee: €40 per category
RULESET
Zuiderslag follows the general rules and equipment standards established by the Dutch national HEMA federation.
